Time for a lot of historical posts. I'll be posting a lot of stuff from the past 6 months so look out for it.
I forget where I saw this Cuddy Party link, I think it's mondo bizarro. Lots of the commenters doubted it was possible for it to be non-sexual. A number of them suggested that it could be considered foreplay. I especially like this one comment:
" ...ahh, California...the very frontierland of WTF ;)"

It's been a serious long time since I made a post. And actually I still have lots of pictures to post up and lots of events and even a breakup to post up about. But tonight, I went with Ken to Hylton Memorial Chapel to listen to Avalon. Pretty cool Christian group. Not my favorite, but a good group. Along with Avalon, there was also Michael English, Cadia, and the Daniel Doss Band. I was impressed with the band because they played the backup music for all four groups. I don't know what Avalon concerts are like, but it was pretty low key. Joking, bantering, a comic skit. Two of the Avalon singers had a mini-dance off on stage. Michael English gave his testimony. In some senses, it felt like a typical Frontline Sunday service. The Chapel really does feel like a church. We sat in pews for instance.
It was hard not to feel moved by Michael English's testimony. I remember back when the adultery scandal hit feeling really disappointed in Christian music. I don't know what it is about sexual things and sexual sins that make people feel like they are somehow worse than other sins. And this seems to be moreso for public figures, pastors, and Christian singers. It was disappointing to hear about someone falling, but it really shocked me how he suddenly became persona non grata to the Christian music industry. Like being shown as a sinner somehow made him not a Christian in the eyes of Christian music. Definitely a story about hitting rock bottom and finding God still there.
Avalon's new CD goes back to earlier Christian songs from Amy Grant and Steven Curtis Chapman. They definitely sung songs I haven't heard in a long time. Cadia sang Martina McBride's "This One's For the Girls" and Avalon and Michael English sang the southern gospel "I'll Fly Away." They ended with a pretty good song (another one I haven't heard in a long time) by Russ Taff "We Will Stand".
This is another concert presented by World Vision and sponsorship packets were available as well as direct donations for World Vision's relief efforts in Myanmar
I'd like to thank Melissa for sharing this webpage with me. Besides being beautiful and having such sweet sounding music. It's also timely and shares a great message that I think brought some comfort to someone that I know. Thanks, Melissa. Here's the Irish Blessing. Check out E-water to see some more great and inspiring flash animations.
This is the blessing that I share.
I wish you not a path of devoid of clouds, Nor a life on a bed of roses, not that you might never need regret, nor that should never feel pain. No, that is not my wish for you. My wish for you is: That you might be brave in times of trial, when others lay crosses upon your shoulders. When mountains must be climbed and chasms are to be crossed; when hope scarce can shine through. That every gift God gave you might grow along with you. And let you give the gift of joy to all who care for you. That you may always have a friend who is worth that name. Whom you can trust, and who helps you in times of sadness. Who will defy the storms of daily life at your side. One more wish I have for you: That in every hour of joy and pain you may feel God close to you This is my wish for you, and all you care for you. This is my hope for you, now and forever.
